Two persons were killed in separate incidents in chittagong on Monday evening. Sitakunda police sources said one shipbreaking worker named Selim (55) died of falling steel plate in a shipbreakingyard of Kumira while cutting the scarp ship.
Meanwhile one pedestrian was killed with collision of running microbus at Bhatiary area under same police station. Chittagsong Medical College police camp sources said Selim was killed in the ship-breaking yard of Master & Brothers yard of Kumira while working inside the scrap ship.
The victim hails from Pirojpur Bandarjuri area and son of Hashem Bari. He was brought in CMCH immediately where the attending physicians declared him dead.
On the other hand, one pedestrian Ramiz(65) was critically injured following the collision of a microbus at Bhatiary and immediately rushed to CMCH and expired in hospital during treatment in the evening. Ramiz hails from Pekua upazila under coxbazar district, sources said.
