Two people were killed including a truck driver as an oil tanker collided with the truck on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Mirsarai upazila early yesterday .
The deceased truck driver was identified as Abul Kashem, 50, hailed from Feni sadar and another deceased– a security guard–couldn’t be identified.
Besides, Shah Alam, 19, a helper from Sirajganj was injured.
Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md Jasim Uddin told that both the vehicles were heading toward Chittagong.
The two persons died on the spot while one of the vehicles was overtaking another at Choto Kamaldah area on the highway at around 7:00am.
The injured was sent to the upazila health complex immediately.
The bodies and the vehicles were handed over to police, added the fire service official.
