Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Sadar upazila on Tuesday. Golam Rasul, 40, son of Habibur Rahman of Sajiria village in the upazila, was crushed under the wheels of a speeding bus while returning home after offering Esha prayers at Magura Police Lines Mosque around 9:00 pm, said officer-in-charge of Magura Sadar Police Station Ilias Hossain.
In another accident, Momena Khatun, 50, wife of Neayamat Ullah, a resident of Jagla village, was killed after a Jessore-bound bus rammed her while crossing a road at Jagla in the evening. Police seized the bus. However, the drive managed to
flee the scene, said the OC, adding that two separate cases were filed with the police station in connection with the incidents.
