Two motorcycle riders were killed in a road accident at Raj Surat area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway under Bahubal upazila of the district on Thursday.
The deceased were Momin Miah, a medical representative of Aristo Pharma and Mosharraf Hossain, a medical representative of Hamdard.
Police said the accident occurred when the motorcycle rammed a roller which was engaged in road repairing work in the area killing motorcyclist Momin Miah on the spot. Mosharraf Hossain, the passenger of the motorbike died on the way to Bahubal Upazila Health Complex.
Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shestaganj Highway thana, confirmed the incident.
