Two people were killed and five others injured as a stone-laden truck crashed into a microbus on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Model Bazar area of Nabiganj upazila on Sunday.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Golam Nabi, officer-in-charge of Sherpur highway police, said a microbus plunged into a roadside ditch after being hit by a truck on the highway at 11am, leaving two passengers on the spot and five others injured.
The injured were admitted to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital and Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Police also seized the truck from the spot.
