UNB, Chattogram :
Two people were killed after a lorry fell off a bridge in Kalushah Nagar area on Dhaka-Chattogram highway of Sitakunda here early Monday.
One of deceased was identified as Mohammad Azam, 38, a night guard of Hazrat Khaza Kalushah shrine while identity of another could not be known yet.
Witnesses said, the Chattogram-bound lorry skidded off the bridge and fell 30 feet down, leaving Azamdeadn dead on the spot around 4:15 am and another person injured.
The injured person died on the way to hospital.
Confirming the incident, Abdul Awal, officer-in-charge of Bar o Aulia Highway Police, said the bodies were sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
