In a tragic rail accident one youth named Bablu(25) was killed on the spot and another one killed in a road mishap in Sitakunda area of Chittagong on Thursday.
Meanwhile six construction labourers were also injured in a godown of iron steel in the sadar area.
Eye witnesses said , victim Bablu jumped in front of the Chittagong bound train at Sitakunda devarpar and his body cutted into pieces. Family sources said Bablu had been suffering from mental discease since long and earlier he wants to commit suicide by taking poision.Bablu is a son of one Delu chowdhury of sitakunda college road, sources said.
Meanwhile another unidentified youth aged approximately 35 was killed on the spot while crossing the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in front of Fouzderhat Cadet College at about 7 pm on Thursday.
Besides, six construction laborers were critically injured in the iron steel godown near Baraulia Dockyard in Kumira when iron angles fell down them inside the godown.
The injured labourers were admitted in the local health complex, sources said.
Another report adds: At least 15 persons were injured in a road accident at Baghicahat area of Chandhanish upazila On Chittagong-Cox’s bazar highway this (Friday) morning.
Police said the accident occurred when a picnic party bus turned turtle after its driver lost control over the steering near Baghicahat area of Chandhanish upazila on Chittagong-Cox’s bazar highway at 9 am today.
The Picnic party bus was going to Cox’s bazar from Mouchak area of capital Dhaka.
Of the injured, seven persons were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital while the others were treated at local health complex.
