AL factional clash: 2 killed, 10 hurt in Narsingdi

At least two persons were killed and 10 others were critically injured in a internal clash between two rival groups of local Awami League at Charanchal Karimpur under sadar upazila of Narsingdi district.
On Thursday morning, a clash took place between the supporters of Ward No 9 Awami League Vice-President Bachchu Mia and supporters of Ward Awami League President Kamal Sarkar at Bogorpot village of Karimpur union.
The deceased were identified as Anwar Ali, 45, son of one Chan Mia of Bogorpot village, and Motalib Mia, 40, son of Ahmad Ali of the same village.
They used arrows in the clash that broke out over establishing supremacy in the area. Anwar died on the spot and at least 11 others were injured.
Of them, Motalib succumbed to his injuries on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Three critically injured were admitted to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital.
Syeduzzaman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Narsingdi Model Police Station confirmed the news media.
