2 journos among 4 sued for publishing fake photo of children’s torture

A case has been filed against four people including two local journalists under the Information and Communication Technology Act 2006 for publishing a fake photo of torture on two children at Joynagar village in Shyamnagar Upazila.
The two accused journalists are Dainik Potrodut’s Shyamnagar upazila correspondent Samiul Ajom Monir, its recently sacked Khashimari union correspondent Robiul Islam, while the other two accused are Abdur Rashid Gazi and Yunus Gazi, residents of the Joynagar village.
Anisur Rahman, son of Mazed Gazi, a resident of the village filed the case on Sunday night with Shyamnagar police station.
Shyamnagar Police Station officer-in-charge Enamul Haque said the photo of the torture of two children which was published and made a outcry over the country, was a fake photo.
