A mobile court here on Tuesday sentenced a person to one and a half years’ imprisonment and another to six moths’ jail for selling expired medicine in the district town.
The convicts were identified as Saiful Islam, 50, of Ibrahimpur village in Sreemangal upazila, and Shahed Mia, 48, of Mansurnagar area in Rajnagar upazila. Executive magistrate M Faruqe Ahmad said a team of mobile court led by him launched a drive in the court area of the town at noon and arrested Saiful and Shahed while they were selling expired medicine in the area openly.
