The Government on Monday appointed Nepal Chandra Sarker, former secretary of Information Commission, and professor Khurshida Begum of the department Government and Politics at Jahangirnagar University, as information commissioners.
President Md Abdul Hamid appointed the two information commissioners in line with section 15(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2009. The government will fix the rank and status, honoraria, allowances and other facilities of the two commissioners.
