Hafez Faruk Hawladar (60), Hostel Super, and cook Siddiqur Rahman Hawladar (45) of Al-haj Rahamatia Shishu Sadan Hefzokhana (Madrasa) situated near Nabbairashi bus stand within Morrelganj Pourashava area under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district were arrested by the police on Monday morning on charge their involvement in the murder of Hasibul Islam (10), a student of the Hefzokhana section of the Madrasa. The deceased student was the son of one Sobhan Shaikh from village Baraikhali of the Pourashava area.
It is learnt from the police and the locals that ill-fated Hasibul Islam had been reading in the Madrasa for the last 5 years as a resident student on Saturday night (at about 10 pm) after taking his supper he fell asleep in his hostel room along with other students.
On the following morning (Sunday) after offering the Fazar prayer in the mosque situated in the Madrasa campus when the Musallis were returning home some of them found the dead body of the student lying behind the Madrasa building near the kitchen within the campus.
Being informed of the matter police of Morrelganj PS rushed to the spot and recorded the circumstances of the case.
Pankaj Chandra Roy, Police Super of Bagerhat who visited the place of occurrence in the morning told the newsmen, sign of severe injuries was found in the head and face of the dead body. So, it is a case of cool blooded murder.
Later police recovered the dead body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
On the other hand, hostel super of the Madrasa, its cook and some students were taken to Morrelganj on Sunday for interrogation.
In this connection a case was already registered with Morrelganj PS by the mother of the deceased student as the plaintiff against some unidentified persons.
It is learnt from the Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS that the arrested hostel super and cook would be sent to the court at Bagerhat district headquarters on Tuesday.
