Two people, including a truck driver, were seriously injured in a road accident at Tarash in Sirajganj. The accident took place at 6 am on Monday, November 1 at a place called Mannan Nagar in Tarash area of Hatikumrul Bonpara Highway.
The condition of 1 person is alarming. It is learned that a speeding truck was hit by another speeding truck from behind and the driver of the truck Jewel and helper were seriously injured after being trapped in the cabin of the truck.
A team of Tarash Fire Service rushed to the spot and rescued them and sent them to Sirajganj General Hospital. The rescued persons are Jewel, 40, son of late Nazrul Islam of Haji Danga village in Chapai Nawabganj Sadar and Rajab Ali, 22, son of late Lal Chan of Paithapara village in Shibganj upazila of Chapai Nawabganj.
