Two people were injured as an abandoned bomb exploded in a jute field at Babupur in Shibganj upazila on Saturday morning.
The injured are-Sohel Rana, 18, son of Serajul Islam and Md Bhodu, 44, son of late Tamsur Rahman.
Shikder Md Moshiur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said that Sohel and Bhodu spotted a bag in the jute field while they were working there around 9:30am.
As they hit the bag with a locally made weapon, the bomb exploded, leaving the duo critically injured.
The injured were taken to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
