Police in a drive arrested two alleged human traffickers from Rashiknagar village in Dighinala upazila on Wednesday evening.
The arrestees were identified as Khalilur Rahman, 50, and Ripon Miah, 24. Police said on secret information, a team of police led by additional police super Enayet Hossain Mannan conducted a drive at the village around 7pm arrested them from their house. Additional Police Super Enayet Hossain Rahim said Khalil is the ringleader of the human trafficking gang and he had long been involved in human trafficking in the district.
