UNB, Barisal :Police rescued two HSC examinees from Khulna on Thursday morning, three days after their abduction from Gournadi upazila of Barisal district.The victims were identified as Kazi Shahriar Anik and Sohag Khan, of Mahisha village in Gournadi upazila.Family sources said the two youths went missing when they out of home on Tuesday. Later, Anik’s mother received a phone call from her son on Wednesday when he informed her that they had been abducted. Anik’s father filed a case in this connection with Gourandadi police station on Wednesday afternoon.Sub Inspector Ahsanullah Kabir of Gournadi police station of Barisal said the two victims said that they had jumped from the vehicle of the abductors on Thursday morning and took shelter at Daulatpur police station.They will be interrogated about the incident and the drive to nab the abductors will continue, he said.
