A press briefing of Chittagong WASA was arranged at Chittagong Press Club Auditorium following the mass hearing over the alleged irregularities and complaints from consumers as arranged by the Anti corruption commission recently on Monday .
In the mass hearing of ACC , a number of allegations were raised from clients side, the brief briefing was informed. In the press briefing , Deputy Managing (Finance) of CWASA Bishwajit Bhattachariya told that irregularities in WASA bill would be expected at our end and desire for accurate bills as per meter reading.
The press meet was told that in the meantime about 22 thousands new water meters have been imported and if any consumers has any complaints against the existing meter, he may have every opportunity to collect new meter from our office.
The press meet was informed that Service Week of CWASA already completed on 31 st December and the journalists were apprised about the services so provided to the consumers during the service week. Managing Director of WASA Engr.
Fazlullah replied to the questions of the journalists in the briefing. He further told that mass hearing of the consumers will be arranged in every Tuesday from 10 am to 12 noon.
Among others, Joint Secretary of Federal Union of Journalists Tapan Chakraborty, WASA Secretary Md. Shamim Sohel and other senior officials of CWASA were present in it.
