Two hijras (hermaphrodite people) were killed and three others injured when a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Begumganj-Feni road at Dokanghar in Begumganj upazila on Friday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police said a Chowmuhani-bound bus of ‘Sugandha Paribahan’ from Feni hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw while overtaking around 9am, leaving a passenger of the auto-rickshaw killed on the spot and four others in the vehicle injured.
Later the injured were rushed to Begumganj Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared one of them dead.
