Customs Intelligence officials of Shah Amanat International Airport here on Wednesday arrested two passengers of Flydubai flight coming from Duabi with 460 grams gold, 42 pieces of mobile phone sets, and 20 cartons of cigarettes.
The arrestees were identified as Yasin Arafat, hailing from Lohagara upazila and Jaynal, a resident of Hathazari upazila of the district.
Pronay Chakma, Assistant Commissioner of customs intelligence said a flight of ‘Flydubai’ FZ-589, coming from Dubai landed at the airport at 9 in the morning.
On suspicion, customs officials searched the luggage of Arafat and Jaynal and seized the goods.
