Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive arrested two drug traders with 585 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets from city’s Shah Amanat bridge area early Tuesday.
The detainees were identified Ramjan Ali, 25 and Tapan Chandra Sarker, 26.
On secret information, a team of Bakalia thana police arrested them with the yaba tablets from a Dhaka-bound Shyamoli Paribahan in Shah Amanat bridge area around 2.50 am , said Mohammad Mohosin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bakalia police station.
A case is under way in this connection, the OC added.
