UNB, Satkhira :
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested two people along with 52 kg silver at Kakdanga in Kolaroa upazila on Wednesday midnight.
The arrestees were identified as Abdullah, 27, son of Mansur Ali, and Sharifuzzaman, 24, son of Rafique Patwari of Uttar Bhadiali village of the upazila.
BGB sources said on secret information, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area and arrested the duo along with 52 kg silver from near the Sonai River at about 12:30am.
Market value of the seized silver would be Tk57.42 lakh. The arrestees were later handed over to Kolaroa Police Station. A case was filed with the police station.
