Detective Branch of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a raid arrested two men with 3000 pieces of Yaba tablets from city’s Shah Amanat Bridge area last morning.
The arrested were identified as Mohammad Nurul Hoque, 40, hailed from Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar and Kamal Hossain, 28, hailed from Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
A team of DB, CMP on a tip-off raided a pickup van in Shah Amanat Bridge area under city’s Bakalia thana and arrested them with the yaba tablets, said ABM Foyzul Islam, Assistant Commissioner of DB, CMP.
Police also seized the pickup van as a case was filed in this connection, the DB officer added.
