2 held in Magura over ASI Ibrahim murder

Police in a drive arrested two teenage boys from Mohammadpur upazila of the district on Thursday night for their suspected involvement in assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Ibrahim Hossain Mollah killing.
The arrestees were identified as Ripon Sheikh, 15, son of Barek Mollah and Ayat Ali Sheikh, 14, son
of Rashed Sheikh of the upazila.
Sudorshon Kumar, assistant superintendent of Magura Police, said as per the statement of an accused, arrested earlier in connection with the murder, a team of plainclothes police led by officer-in-charge of Darus Salam police station launched a drive and arrested the two boys from their houses.
They also recovered three mobile phone sets, including the one of Ibrahim, and a number of SIM cards from their possessions.
Ashraf Hossain, vice chairman of Mohammadpur Upazila parishad, said the two boys were Jamaat activists and did not continue their study. They used to live in Dhaka, he said. ASI Ibrahim was stabbed to death by some miscreants on October 22 night at a check post near Parbata Cinema Hall of Gabtali when a police team was searching his bag.
Police detained one of the attackers-Sumon-while his accomplice Enamul Haque Kamal, fled the scene with the motorcycle.
