A Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) team in a drive arrested two persons in connection with the murder of an army officer’s mother in city’s Uttara area on Friday night.
The arrested persons were identified as Laila Akhter Labonya and Golam Nabi alias Abu, said RAB-1 Commanding
Officer Lieutenant Colonel Tuhin Rahman Masud.
They confessed their involvement in the murder, the RAB official said. They were being interrogated.
On June 4, the mother of an army officer was found murdered at Uttara in the capital. The deceased, Monwara Sultana, 64, is the mother of Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Bin Yusuf of East Bengal Regiment.
She was found with her throat slit in her living room at Uttara around 3:00am on the fateful night.
