Two newly constructed halls of Chittagong Vaterinary and Annimal Science University named after the name of Bangamatha Begum Fazilatunnesa for female hall and veteran freedom fighter & former Minister M A Hannan for male hall.
These names were approved in the 30th syndicate meeting of the University recently. Vice Chancellor of CVASU Prof.Dr. Goutam Buddha presided over the syndicate meeting duly attended by all syndicate members, sources said. Mentionable that a 3 -member subcommittee was formed in the meeting headed by Secretary of Fisheries and Livestock and syndicate member Dr. Selina Afroz to finalise the naming of these halls and finally the committee approved these two names for naming the two halls of the university. The accommodation capacity of Fazilatunnesa Hall is 420 and MA Hannan Hall is 804 students and the accommodation capacity will be increased phase by phase with expansion work, sources said.
