A Chittagong court on Wednesday sentenced two persons to life-term imprisonment for killing a man over two decades ago.
The court of Chittagong Divisional Public Safety Tribunal (special judge) Hosney Ara Begum pronounced the verdict and fined the two convicts-Muslem-uddin and Ershad – Taka 10,000, in default, to suffer three months more in jail.
The prosecution story is in brief that the convicts killed him at Halishahr in the city on December 10, 1996 over previous enmity.
Father of the victim Abul Khayer filed a case with Double-mooring police station on the day. Later, the court pressed charges on June 1, 2004.
