A court on Tuesday (June 28) placed two persons for life term imprisonment for killing an expatriate’s wife in Rasulbagh residential area under Bakalia Thana in the port city.
Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Kazi Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury passed the order.
The court also asked the convicts, Shahidul Islam alias Ilias and Abdul Hannan, to pay Tk 10,000 each. However, they are fugitive now.
Tribunal PP Advocate Aiyub Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
The court statement said five tiles workers killed the housewife Khadiza Begum on February 17 in 2012 to rob money, mobile phone and other valuables.
Another accused Kalu has been acquitted and a 14-year-old Nishan has been sent to child court.
