2 filling stations fined for weight manipulation

The Department of National Consumer Rights protection (DNCRP) have drives in Kishoreganj’s Filling Stations, on Sunday fined Tk 3 lakh for fraud, cheating consumers in Kishoreganj.
The filling stations are Himu Filling station Tk 150000 and Golden Petrol Pump Tk150 OOO.
DNCRP, Assistant Director (AD) in Kishoreganj Rahday Ronjon Bonik led the drive and imposed the fine .
It is known that the operation was conducted on Sunday in various filling stations in Kishoreganj sadar.
The campaign involved measuring petrol, octane and diesel at. Himu and Golden filling stations.
 At this time, it can be seen that 130 ml in petrol, 120 ml in octane and 150 ml in diesel are being given less to the consumers. According to the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, the companies were fined Tk three lakh.
AD in DNCRP Rahday Ronjon Bonik told the New Nation that they were fined Tk 300,000 for giving less fuel.
In case of irregularity in the supply of products, any organization is requested to complain to the Directorate. These operations will continue in public interest.
