Two farmers died from electrocution while tilling their crop field at Dudhnoi village in Jhenaigati upazila of the district yesterday( Wednesday). The deceased were identified as Abdul Khalek, 55, son of late Insan Ali and Taleb Ali, 60, son of Jhunu Sheikh, residents of Dudhnoi village. Officer-in-charge of Dudhnoi Police Station Mizanur Rahman said the two farmers were ploughing their field with a tractor at village.
At one stage, a snapped electric wire fell on the duo, leaving them injured around 9am.
Later they where whisked off to Jhenaigati Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctors declared them dead
