Police arrested two Rab impersonators while they were taking money from some gamblers in Janata Bazar area of Nandail upazila early Saturday.
The arrestees were
identified as Jewel Miah and Sabbir Ahmed. Of them, the former is said to be a sepoy of Border Guard Bangladesh Panchagarh Battalion-18.
Police said, the duo went to the bazaar area in the early hours posing as Rapid Action Battalion members and demanded money to the gamblers threatening to put them on crossfire.
On information, police launched a drive there and arrested them red-handed, said Ayub Rahman, officer-in-charge of Nandail Police Station.
