2 exportable containers detained in pvt ICD

Customs Intelligence & Investigation Department officials in Chittagong detained two exportable containers at Eshak Brothers ICD in Patenga near port area at the moment of loading these containers for onward transportation to Chittagong Port with alleged forged export documents.
Officials detained these RMG products loaded containers on Monday afternoon in the depot.
Customs officials primarily suspected that these RMG products are being exported to a Manila based organization preparing forged Bank documents, sources said. Deputy Director of CIID Zakir Hossain told that M/s. SM Design Ltd of Mirpur, Dhaka was exporting about 8,034 dozen Readymade garments products and price shown US $ 52,834 in the export documents.
 The Phillipino consignee of the export items is DMD Bouticks.
Zakir Hossain further told that M/s. SM Designs Ltd in last 3 years , 91 RMG consignments were exported and the CIID will also enquire these previous L/Cs and other documents whether they committed any unfairmeans in exporting the RMG consignments earlier.
