2 envoys present credentials to President

Newly appointed ambassador of Vietnam to Bangladesh Tran Van Khoa presented his credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday. Terming the relations between Bangladesh and Vietnam as excellent President Abdul Hamid said there are many scopes to enhance trade and investment relations between the two countries. He underscored the need for exchanging visits in government and private levels between the two countries to utilise those scopes. President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting. Tran Van Khoa said Vietnam attaches importance to its relations with Bangladesh. The envoy mentioned the visits of the President and the Prime Minister of Bangladesh to Vietnam and said the bi-lateral relations between the two countries have reached to a new height through the visits. He sought the President’s cooperation to discharge his assignment in Bangladesh.

Later, newly appointed ambassador of Morocco to Bangladesh Majid Halim presented his credentials to President Hamid at Bangabhaban. During the meeting, the President hoped that the bi-lateral relations between Bangladesh and Morocco will enhance during the tenure of the new envoy. Majid Halim said he would put effort to enhance the bilateral relations. Earlier, on their arrival at Bangabhaban, the envoys were given guard of honor separately by a contingent of the President’s Guard Regiment.
