Two people died from electrocution in the city’s Khilgaon area on Monday. The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain, 42, son of Makbul Hossain of Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria, and Abdur Razzak, 18, son of Jafar Uddin of Palashbari in Gaibandha.
Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) said Razzak got electrified when he came in
contact with a live electrical wire lying in the yard of the house he lives in around 5:30am.
Anwar was also electrocuted as he came in the rescue of Razzak, leaving the duo injured.
They were taken to the DMCH where doctors declared them dead around 6am.
