Two students of Nuclear Engineering Department of Dhaka University (DU) got Distinction Award from Institute of Nuclear Engineering of University of Tennessee, US.
M Mobasser Ahmed and Omar Ahmed, of masters’ 3rd batch students of Nuclear Engineering Department, won the award for their article titled “Addressing the Tunnel at Nuclear Facilities-A Case Study”.
The United States (US) University arranged the article competition for students who are studying Nuclear Engineering in different universities in the world.
There were four topics in the competition like nuclear security relating polices, law and diplomacy, education and training, science and technology and human reliability.
The two students under the supervision of M Shafiqul Islam, associate
professor of DU Nuclear Engineering Department, presented their article on
the topic of “science and technology”. Their article was elected as the best
one in the competition.
