Two meritorious students of Dhaka University (DU) have been awarded “Prof AKM Abdul Mannan Trust Fund Scholarship” for their outstanding academic performances.
The recipients of scholarships are Md Ashraful Islam of the Mathematics Department and Mustafizur Rahman of the Applied Mathematics Department. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman distributed scholarships among the students at a function at the VC’s lounge of the university on Monday. Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof Dr Md Abdul Aziz, Chairman of the Mathematics Department of Prof Dr Amal Krishna Halder, Associate Professor of the Applied Mathematics Department Dr Muhammad Ferdows, daughter of late Prof AKM Abdul Mannan, Associate Professor of the Department of Zoology Dr Jannatul Ferdous and Acting Registrar Md Enamuzzaman were present at the function with DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin in the chair.
