2 drug traders were arrested along with eight kgs of ganja from Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district by a contingent of RAB-6, Khulna on January 28, according a delayed report received here.
It is learnt from a source of RAB-6 (Special Company) that acting on secret information, a number of persons are waiting near the dwelling house of one Kamal in the village Shukdara within Betaga Union Parishad for selling and purchasing ganja raided the area at Thursday night and arrested two persons along with 8 kgs one hundred grams ganja. The arrested persons are Selim Gazi (35), son of one Saheb Ali Gazi of Digraj under Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat district and Abdus Sabur (35), son of one late Ayub Ali Mondol of Benapol Land Port area.
On the following morning the RAB-6 registered a case with Fakirhat Model PS under Narcotics Act and handed over them to the PS. It is learnt that the arrested persons had been engaged in drug trading profession for long.
