Bakalia thana police of CMP detained two drug peddlers from Karanaphuli bridge area under Bakalia yesterday early morning after searching a passenger coach of Shamoli Paribahan. Police also recovered 3000 pieces of yaba tablets from their possession. The arrested drug traffickers identified as Isamul Hoque of Shariatpur district and Amir Khan of same district. Sources said they conduct drug business in Dhaka.
Acting on secret tip off, Bakalia thana police searched the Shamoli Paribahan bus amd recovered the yabas from the possession of two youths. Police sources said they were carrying these drugs to Dhaka from Coxsbazar. A case under narcotics act is filed with the police.
