Two persons died after falling from the roof of a running bus on the Dhaka-Tangail highway at Jirani bus stand under Gazipur district on Wednesday morning.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately, said Md Daud Khan, In-Charge (OC) of Konabari Highway Police Outpost.
The OC said, “The two passengers boarded the roof of a Mymensingh-bound bus. They fell down when the bus was passing by Jirani bus stand, leaving them dead on the spot.”
They recovered the bodies around 7:00am, he said.
The bodies were sent to the Gazipur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the police official said.
