The authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) detained two students for giving proxy to other examinees at the second day of admission test on Saturday.
The detainees were Shafiqul Islam, son of Abdul Jalil under Shariatpur district and Mukhsedul Hossain, son of Ramazan Ali under Rangpur District. Shafiqul was giving proxy to applicant named Nasim Hossain, son of Forhad Ahmed of Bogura and Mukhsedul Hossain was giving proxy to Mohtaseul Haque Nishad of Rangpur. Muksedul claimed he completed his graduation from Rajshahi University.
BSMRSTU Proctor Dr Md. Raziur Rahman said in a press conference at 5:30 PM that “Shafiqul was held during the entry test of ‘D Unit’ under Arts Faculty and Mukhsedul was held during the entry test of ‘G Unit’ under Law Faculty. As they confessed their involvement in cheating, we handed them to law enforcers”.
The admission test of BSMRSTU under 2019-20 academic session was started on 1st November.
