A two-day international conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0 (STI 2019) began on Saturday at the permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), Purbachal American City. Faculty of Science and Engineering of GUB organised the conference with a view to get ready for facing challenges of fourth industrial revolution.
GUB Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md Golam Samdani Fakir presided over the opening session while Prof. Dr. A. S. M. Maksud Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) of DU was present as special guest. Due to illness, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, chief guest of the program did not present in the inauguration session.
GUB Pro-VC Prof Dr Md Abdur Razzaque delivered welcome address while Dr. Rajkumar Buyya, IEEE Fellow from University of Melbourne, Australia; Dr. Claudio Cañizares, IEEE Fellow, University of Waterloo, Canada; Professor Vincent Wong, IEEE Fellow, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada; Hussein Abbass, IEEE Fellow, University of New South Wales, Australia; Professor Sushmita Mitra, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata and Professor Emeritus of BRAC University presented their keynote speakers.
