The two-day 5th international conference on ‘Informatics, Electronics and Vision (ICIEV)’ began on Friday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU).
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the event.
Center for Natural Science and Engineering Research (CNSER) organized the conference in cooperation with IEEE Computer Society, IEEE PAMI Technical Committee, Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE), Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Mobile of Japan and Japan Institute of Navigation.
Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of DU M Atiqur Rahman Ahad presided over the function while Prof of the University of Hyogo, Japan, Syoji Kabashi and Prof Lutfar Rahman spoke.
Prof of the University of Twente, Netherlands Anton Nijholt, Professor of Indian Statistical Institute, India Sankar K Pal and Professor of the same institute Nikhil R Pal presented key-note papers.
Scientists, researchers and experts from countries including Bangladesh, USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and KSA are participating in the conference.
A total of 219 papers will be presented at the technical sessions of the
conference.
