UNB, Dhaka :
A two-day long single-country fair styled ‘Remittance & Investment Fair 2014’ will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from September 6.
The fair will be organised by Global Air Tours and Travel’s aiming to promote export to Malaysia as well as to take advantage of the recent Malaysian government initiative on waiving duty on import of Bangladeshi products.
It will be the largest ever single-country fair which will end on September 7, organisers said.
They hoped that a record number of 350 stalls will be set up at the prestigious fair venue ‘Mardeka Square Auditorium’ in Kuala Lumpur where various Bangladeshi companies will display their products in front of Malaysian entrepreneurs and consumers.
Talking to UNB, Managing Director and CEO of Global Air Tours and Travel’s Farzana Majumder said banks, financial institutions, garment and knitwear exporters would participate in the mega Bangladesh exposition in Malaysia.
Besides, a number of beverage producers, software firms and airlines will attend the fair, she hoped.
The official said the Malaysian Trade Ministry has already endorsed it and is looking forward to welcome Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in Kuala Lumpur.
