2-day Bose conference begins at DU

The 2nd international Bose conference began at Dhaka University’s Nawab Ali Chowdhury senate bhaban on Thursday.
Science and Technology Minister Yafes Osman inaugurated the 2-day conference organised by the university’s Bose Centre for Advanced Study and Research in Natural Sciences. Addressing the programme, the Minister said Satyendra Nath Bose was a man with multiple talents and his valuable contribution in physics and research is a matter for pride for the Bengali nation.
Osman urged the scientists of the present generation to engage themselves in scientific research taking lessons from the life and works of SN Bose. Noted Indian scientist and a direct disciple of SN Bose, Partha Ghose presented the keynote paper on Bose’s life and works at the conference.
