2 Ctg roads named after Bangabandhu, Mohiuddin Chy

Chattogram City Corporation has taken decision to rename the two city roads after the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Chattalbir Mohiuddin Chowdhury .
 These proposed roads are – Port connecting Road and Agrabad Access Road . These decision will come into affect subject to approval of the concerned ministry. City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin disclosed it while addressing the 49th death anniversary discussion meeting on founder of the district Awamil league Shaheed Sheikh Muzaffar Ahmed at Zila Parishad hall in the city as chief guest .
He also apprised that a decision to rename a road or establishment of the CCC after the name of Shekh Muzaffar Ahmed is under consideration President of city AL Mahtabuddin chowdhury said at very beginning of the liberation war in 1971, occupation forces killed Sheikh Muzaffar and his son and the brute Pak forces did not hand over their bodies to their family members and the nation yet to know their graves.
He strongly demanded to remame a road or any other govt establishment in their names as memorial instead of graves. Mahtabuddin Chowdhury also proposed to publish a memoir in every year on their death anniversary.
Among others, newly assigned CDA chairman Jahirul Islam Dovash, sons of the demise Khurshid Anwar and Shahidul Anwar were present on the occasion.
