Two policemen were injured in a crude bomb attack on a police van at Rajoir bus stand in Sharankhola upazila on Thursday.
Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola Police Station Md Kabirul Islam said 4-5 crude bombs were thrown at the van when a patrol team of police reached the area around 3:30pm.
Constables Sagar Hossain and Zafar Sheikh received splinter injuries in the attack, he said, adding that they were given first aid.
The OC also claimed that they arrested two Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal activists along with five live crude bombs from the spot.
The arrestees were identified as Apurba Hasan Roni, 25, son of Shah Alam Akan and Md Imran Hossain, 18, son of Kamal Chawkidar of Panchrasta in the upazila.
