Two construction labourers were electrocuted and one injured when they were working in an under construction building belonging to one Akubbor Nakib of village Bilkul within Badhal Union Parishad under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased persons are Harej Shikdar (35), son of one Joynal Shikdar of the same village and Tanjil Molla (40), son of one Sumur Uddin Molla of village Kakarbil within Raripara Union under the same Upazila. The injured person is Malek Molla (36) of village Kakarbil. He was admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Rabiul Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Kachua PS told the newsmen that on the day at about 4 pm casting work of the ground floor of the under construction building belonging to Akubbor Molla of village Bilkul was going on. At that time all on a sudden a torn but live electricity wire fell on the ground floor and the tragic incident occurred. The deceased and injured labourers were the helper of the masons.
