Two condemned prisoners, who were undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College and Hospital, died recently.
They are Abul Hossain, 60, of Tala Upazila in Satkhira and Fazlur Rahman, 70,of Mohammadpur upazila in Magura. The two prisoners were sentenced to death in two separate cases, said Md Kamrul Islam, Superintendent of Khulna Jail. The jail authorities sent Abul Hossain to the hospital as he had been suffering from jaundice since March 19 and Fazlu was taken to the hospital after he complained of breathing problem and abdominal pain.
