The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday sent two Chinese nationals to the jail on completion of their remand. Earlier, they were arrested with huge fake ‘Singer and Butterfly’ sewing machines.
Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy of the CMM Court passed the order on Monday.
The Chinses nationals are- Hao Xiaoping alias Bob Hao (41), and Su Yin (35). They were put on three days each.
On December 22, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police arrested them conducting raid at two warehouses in Turag area. A total of 585 pieces of machine with Singer logos and 1,100 pieces of Butterfly machines were seized during the raid.
