UNB, Naogaon :
Two children drowned in a pond in Khans Naogaon area of the district town on Tuesday noon.
The deceased were identified as Orion, 7, son of Shahidul Islam, and Shukhi, 6, daughter of Shutka, both residents of the area.
Witnesses said Orion and Shukhi drowned after falling into a pond adjacent to their house while playing near its bank at about 12 noon.
After a frantic search, locals rescued and rushed them to Naogaon Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
