UNB, Chittagong :
Two brothers were hacked to death by miscreants in Khwaja Road Badamtala area under Chandgaon thana in the port city on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Faridul Alam,45, and his brother Abu Siddique,43, sons of Abul Kalam, a resident of the same area. Police said a group of miscreants swooped on the duo and hacked them indiscriminately with sharp weapons in the area at about 10:45 pm, leaving them seriously injured.
Later, they were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
Informed, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Shahidul Islam, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Chandgaon Police Station, said they might have been killed over previous enmity. A case was filed in this connection.
